Wedding photography is all about capturing the atmosphere and story of your day. Jo specialises in documentary style wedding photography that captures just that – from discreet bridal preparation photographs through to the important photographs of the marriage ceremony itself and the bridal and family portraits. Combining candid reportage photography with stunning portraits, Jo will be with you for the whole day to make sure every aspect of the story is captured.

Unobtrusive and discreet, Jo works quietly to catch the special moments naturally without staging. Working with a handheld digital SLR camera she utilises natural light creatively to produce flattering photographs. Jo captures natural photographs of people reportage style, and also ensure portraiture of the bride and groom and family groups are included, as many or as few as required. These can either be taken directly after the wedding ceremony or at the wedding reception venue depending on location, but in each case the group photography is fun and organised efficiently to avoid guests waiting around. As no two weddings are the same, each one’s individuality is reflected in the images Jo takes.

Jo’s open, friendly approach includes meeting the bride and groom before the wedding to make sure they are happy and relaxed on the wedding day and quickly forget she has a camera at all! This allows her to get the best results from the photography without interrupting the natural flow of the wedding. Being a female photographer has proved to be a distinct advantage not only for blending in subtly when taking the bridal preparation photographs, but also in making the bride feel relaxed and confident. Having been present at so many weddings Jo can often recommend interesting and creative portrait photographs that she thinks will suit your individual wedding style.

The ‘picture story’ of your day can be presented in a custom designed album to treasure. It will be a complete record of your wedding day including photography covering:

• Detail photographs of all the personal touches such as the shoes, cake, flowers, rings, table settings and favours
• Photography of the wedding venues

Jo covers locations across London and the South East including Surrey, Kent and Berkshire. She has photographed at most of the popular wedding venues in central London, Reigate, Guildford, Maidstone and principal locations across Surrey.

Jo’s fees are good value and mid-range in the market, from £800 to £1500. They include ALL the photographs from your wedding day. The top package includes a personally designed album presenting 60-75 photographs. Family and friends can view all your wedding photographs on a personal web gallery a week after the wedding.
